A College Town Does Not Mean Eating Student Food
A good time at Il Gallo Giallo doesn’t require a private audience with Darrin and Ryan, the entire staff samples everything and can recommend a good dish to go with your wine.
Darrin wants his wine bar to be a place where the wine and food draw you in but the experience and conversation keep people coming back. Unlike a typical New Paltz restaurant, Il Gallo Giallo is more versatile.
To encourage good vibes and conversation over a plate of good food, Il Gallo Giallo has live Jazz on Thursday and Sunday nights, I caught a performance of The Andrew Jordan Trio, 3 students from SUNY New Paltz’s Jazz program.
They played a cover of Coltrane’s Giant Steps Listen to it HERE.
The yellow chicken on Main Street in New Paltz is way more than a place to get a bite to eat. As Darrin puts it, he gets to make people happy and eat great food.
Not bad at all.
